As with DMR, P25 also comes with the concept of talkgroups. However, there is one major difference. With DMR, each repeater can have a separate set of talkgroups. Given our current P25 network architecture, talkgroup selection happens at the network level. Said another way, if you select a talkgroup on ANY repeater on the network, that talkgroup is made active on ALL repeaters on the network. Please keep this in mind as you use the network.
What follows is a list of currently available talkgroups on the P25 network:
Talkgroup ID | Talkgroup Name | Notes |
10 | Parrot | Audio test similar to DMR. |
6395 | NF9K P25 Reflector | This is the home/primary talkgroup for the Indiana P25 ARN. |
